Nicely done there Malins...HBO could learn a thing or three from you
Here right in front of him was the true treasure, that could turn a place of death into a paradise garden, and it was all his to revel in.
A twinge of regret, and also anger, at the thought of Iris and Topaz, whom he’d had to sell off, not even to someone he knew, to somewhere he’d know they’d be safe, to someone whom they'd be well-kept with. No, it had to be away, to a trader, and all he could ever find was that an insufferably arrogant lady by the name of Asmodelia had shipped them off to her estate in the Despotate of Deliria.
hmmm the worst inescapable affliction right now is not being able to find the situations where I might continue a story. But well... there's a new year's resolution. For this one, I promise anyone who dies stays dead, so no reincarnation. I guess I just decided at some point if I'm going to write stories set in a diffuse fantasy-land I might just always use the same world...whether recursive reincarnation is an affliction Malin cannot escape
Hmmm, the protagonist of this story might have seen a different side of her, or maybe he just can't deal with that kind of person as well as that merchant did...Now Pp, in the guise of a merchant, has had some experience of the insufferable Asmodelia elsewhere
There's no rule whatsoever I'm aware of that old threads can't be revived. True, this is a four year old fragment but sometimes new members bring in new perspectives and we've been discussing views of slavery a lot...I hope it's alright to comment on such an old thread.
I guess she's culturally accustomed to a certain form of slavery ...I love the girl's ready submission! It's really exciting. I love the focus it puts on her helplessness as a slave, as she doesn't need to be violently coerced first.
She doesn't show up specifically anywhere else, but she's one of the daughters of the Despot of Deliria himself, she has a sister known as Belialine the Brilliant. And now I'm curious about Asmodelia.
There are many hidden treasures here on CF, buried by time.I hope it's alright to comment on such an old thread.
