Quite plausibleIt's a nasty thought that - they scalped the men, beaver-scalped the girls?

What could have been?. Hollywood missed out on a good thing. Think about how successful it might have been.

Here are a lot of africans pictures. My girl is an indian tribes. That's not an Indian thing. That gourd is African, possibly Masaii.
They are enemy women, captured in raids, who are tied down and secured as properthy, when the party stops to camp, stretched out as a prizes from their loot, while they are taken back to the tribe's settlement, to serve as naked slaves. Stripped naked when captured, as clothing is a signifier of respect which is not appropriate to their status as women of a defeated enemy, they are shaved and kept smooth and hairless, so naked, they also serve as neatly kept trophies, in their new roles as slaves.
Yes and many medicine bags made from a tanned skinned women's breast!Quite plausible

Interesting story. So by her account, she was captured and made the "property" of Chief Ottawa (the fellow my home town here is named after), and then cleverly tricked another fellow to take a letter to the US army fort that led to her release. She claimed never to have suffered any "unchaste" insult from the Sioux. Another account suggests that she was "docile" (possibly a sub?) and was given as a wife to another chief and he was so pleased with her that Sitting Bull himself had to take her away from him and escort her to the fort himself (likely to avoid reprisals). I wonder which of those stories is true.Lot 139(2015)
