Andy, I was too busy being a smartass yesterday to say I find her one of the hottest crux drawings I’ve ever laid eyes and libido on, a statement that doesn’t really make sense but I hope you get my drift.

Nice Via Crucis, Andy, you're great as always, but I was a little disappointed... It would had been nice to see the actual scourging, if possible in different body attitudes. Maybe in some furtive moments, the soldiers could rape her in several ways.... It would be nicer (according to me, of course) to see her naked on the walk, or at least topless. When the soldiers mock her, I don`t understand why they don't masturbate seeing this gorgeous lady. And, last not least, I love your hairy damsels and this one is completely shaved. But, please, these remarks don't diminish my great admiration for your work, really.......

I understand your point of view, and of course you are right that she couldn't be crucified as a virgin, however in this series I tried only to recreate the biblical scenes as verbatim as possible, with no additional images.

In my opinion she could have been crucified as a virgin, but hardly in the situation narrated in the gospels, which describe -- and imply -- some heavy stuff going down in the Praetorium. There's a theologian from New Zealand who argues that Jesus could well have undergone sexual abuse there.

Roman laws did not permit to execute a virgin..... so the soldiers followed the law, and while it was forbidden to rape in central Rome.... they did it in dungeons , while "under the ground " was not considerated as "central Rome"...problem solved

Not sure it wasn't forbidden to rape outside central Rome (i.e. the Pomerium?) -- again, a legal citation would be most helpful.
