From a spectator's point of view, Tree is intrigued by the short crosses used for the condemned women's executions. They are painfully stretched, lewdly displaying their naked bodies. The ground would be well within their reach except for the spikes through their feet. The short crosses made mounting the women easy, no high lifting of the crosses with a struggling woman attached. The doomed women are not as prominently displayed as if they were crucified on tall crosses but it is easier to see the their breasts rise and fall as they fight for each breath. Once crucified, it does not matter if the ground is far from the reach of their feet or, as here, out of reach by the spikes nailed through them. Either way, Emily and Rissa are going to suffer the agony of their crucifixion until they die...
Petra's view... There is nothing but contempt for Emily. Her masturbation of the condemned bitch is only done to increase Emily's agony on her cross.
