How about a badge / title for anyone that contributes significant works of art?
Yesss. I like the way your mind works.

Now you're going in circles, that's exactly what the title ladder does do, you seemed to be asking us to short-cut it...By the way, @Wragg, did you notice the "like" button, it provides a very objective means of quantifying appreciation, so you might not have to install a board of experts.
How about a badge / title for anyone that contributes significant works of art? one for writers one for visual artists. That's on top of the existing rankings.
That content is the essence of this forum yes?
Are you serious? Like a blue Peter badge or something.
A Blue Perv badge perhaps
Surely, you aren't suggesting that adding a few more exemplars to the hundreds of "girls on a cross" pics that already populate this site is going to change the world? I didn't realize that CF was that powerful.irst, I think that @windar is correct, I am a diva. Divas, like fat-bottom girls, change the world, which is so much too far from being perfect. I am Austrian, we are title fetishists. You cruxfroum guys and gals, of all people, should be familiar with fetishism.
Back on VoD, you used to complain and threaten to leave if you only got likes. Everyone had to come up with new words to describe your awesome awesomeness...I also think @windar and @algabal have a point: original art, be it stories or images are underappreciated on this site. By the way, @Wragg, did you notice the "like" button, it provides a very objective means of quantifying appreciation, so you might not have to install a board of experts.
You know it's interesting, @jucundus. If the goal is to make people happy, then you should want to make others happy, also. It would make me happy if you would read a few of my stories and comment on them. Since I often write with @Barbaria1 it would probably make her happy too. And then if you maybe made a few illustrations, I'd be even happier. You could spread a whole lot of happiness around if you'd leave your own private thread for a bit and visit a few other ones. Just a thought...@fallenmystic, you are totally correct. I am behaving like an asshole. Why should rules be modified for me, if there are so many more modest yet better artists around than me? You are -admittedly -one of those, You know about blender, I am in awe, it is such a difficult software. Your art is amazing, I am humbled each time I look at it. I am deeply in love with your talent.
But this is not the point here. I think they should be proud of having us around. There is a simple way of showing this appreciation. They should allow us to wear any fancy hat we want, just because that is all it takes to make us happy, and making us happy is what makes the community happy in the end. There is so much vanity in art. You probably know all about it, being driven by an urge you cannot resist to MAKE things, and at the same totally hopeful that somebody will acknowledge that they like what you are doing. Why is it a sin to be vain about the one thing you can do well?

Tone down the snark a bit.Surely, you aren't suggesting that adding a few more exemplars to the hundreds of "girls on a cross" pics that already populate this site is going to change the world? I didn't realize that CF was that powerful.
I was not aware of the gratitude I should feel toward the moderators and you for tolerating my non-crux interests and contributions. I confess that I never picked up on the "secret" rule that due to the Title of the forum (titles are SO important) that only crux received first-class treatment here. To maul the words of the Bard:but the fact is that all generations of moderators since 2005 onwards have shown tolerance toward non-crux topics on the site.
I have no feud with @jucundus. As I mentioned, he illustrated one of my stories without my asking him to and I thought they were wonderful. I'm not sure why anyone thinks I'm giving him a hard time calling him a diva, when he has already plead guilty as charged. We get it, you've got a feud with him carried over from some other place that burned down.
So, no one should ever write any more. But there are 3, 876 crux pictures here and we need 2,866 more. Some however will say, if it's general erotica, there is just a whole world of stories out there dealing with say judicial CP. On the interwebs and in print.
I like that, "confirmed anti-cruxer"... I may choose it as my title when I become entitled to choose one (and I plan to achieve it by the traditional way of posting more, as no one will care if I make a threat to leave)And lest you think I'm a confirmed anti-cruxer...
You should all have any great titles you want. My title was meant to be humble. If it would make anyone else happy, I'll gladly change it to "Condemned" as any rookie. Though as W.S. Gilbert said in the "Gondoliers",
When everyone is somebody, then no one’s anybody
"
You miss the point here a bit.I was not aware of the gratitude I should feel toward the moderators and you for tolerating my non-crux interests and contributions. I confess that I never picked up on the "secret" rule that due to the Title of the forum (titles are SO important) that only crux received first-class treatment here. To maul the words of the Bard:
Why, man, Crux doth bestride this narrow site
like a Colossus, and other poor writers
Write under its huge shadow and peep about
To find our stories dishonorable threads.
I shall restrain or even eliminate my unwanted contributions so that we may all bow down to few "Great" artists and Crucifixion stories. You certainly should not have to tolerate me any longer. I will be stopping any unwanted financial support to a site dedicated to crux and only tolerating me. Thanks for letting me know

I have yet to see on cruxforums (I apologize for my presence and beg toleration) anyone with the best title of all. I suggest the mods award to anyone who wants it the best of all possible titles:Great to see another G&S fan here!
Above line sung by Don Alhambra, and joined by Marco and Giuseppe in "There Lived a King", #16 in Gondoliers (from someone who's been in the cast of Gondoliers several times over the years...as well as most of the G&S shows).
Thanks for posting it!
You are the one who said my contributions here (which are all non-crux) are tolerated. I do not claim to be a great writer, check my signature, which by the way is available to all. You are the one who pontificated on high about "tolerance toward non-crux topics on the site." What pray tell did that mean except that those topics are off-topic, inferior, and not worthy as crux? You do not tolerate your equals. Tell me how else to read that? If you were to apply for a job at my company and I said, "since 2005 we have tolerated your type here". Would you be offended??You miss the point here a bit.
First of all I am not a moderator and absolutely nothing here depends on me tolerating anything.
This site will do perfectly well without me.
The point is precisely that this place is open for a wide range of interests and always has been.
But each member can choose to follow their spectrum of interest, and by definition crux will be one that is honored as valid.
I did not ask you to grant me a title.
You might want to check my post for any claim that only crux should have first class status or that secret hierarchies should be introduced.
I made no such claim. You are projecting.
Bringing in "The Bard" and getting all authoratitive with big bold lettering does not strengthen your non-argument. You do not compare well to the Bard and will not be remembered like him, mangling his words does not give you the authority you crave.
Crux postings will continue to have a place on this forum.
That is not something that follows from any opinion of mine, one indication might be who actually runs the place.
However, everything else is also welcome. Again, not my decision.
I bet they said back in the day to Mr. Shakespeare (assuming such a person actually existed), "You do not compare well to Chaucer and will not be remembered like him". In fact, most people at that time would have laughed themselves silly if you'd told them that those plays they went to at the Globe and thought were entertainment as we think of our contemporary television programs would still be performed 500 years later. Now try to predict which TV shows from today will be watched 500 years from now. Obviously "Seinfeld" will, right @Barbaria1?...You do not compare well to the Bard and will not be remembered like him, mangling his words does not give you the authority you crave.
