It would seem like being nailed facing the cross might offer some kind of sad relief. This way she's not forced to look out onto the crowd fucking her with their eyes or cheering for her suffering. But facing the cross somehow seems lonelier. She can't see the sunrise or sunset one last time or look out longingly over the mountains and valley. It's just her and the cross. and as she writhes and presses up and falls down to breathe, scraping her vulva surely agaisnt the rough splintery wood, it's almost like she's fucking the cross that is killing her!
