The question is: who will hate you enough to crucify you? Orcs or Futuristic aliens?
It's true that we can see here a lot of stuff about Romans, and the Andaroos Series is pretty near of that universe.
I did a series with Orcs-like enemies, with "Hilda the Warrior", fighting the "gentle Gavulaars.
But we don't see that much monsters stories here, so that could be a nice thing to explore.
Aliens on a foreign planet would be pretty original, and I think I have everything to do something nice.
Anyway, the end may be the same, pretty much!
So, what to chose?

Well, crucifying an orc girl wouldn't be that funny!
Perhaps not funny, but Orcs are the strongest of Middle Earth's inhabitants, muscle girls look HOT nailed to crosses.

One of the best clothed (more or less

The old rugged cross will do for an orc, though. If it's a hobbit, one can perhaps use a chair...

Although I can’t conceive of any narrative into which such a scene would fit, I wouldn’t mind seeing each of these ladies crucified in a row on the same size cross.
Of course a cross sized for an orc would be overkill (bad pun intended) for a halfling. Another of those images in my head that I don’t think any artist would be interested in illustrating.

A certain amount of delicate dexterity is necessary to crucify humans without squashing them into strawberry jam, which Warhammer robots would seem to lack. A. I.'s future aliens look too frail.
LOTR style orcs would not only make excellent carnifexes, but dwelling as they do in the realms of fantasy, and not at interstellar distances, they’re closer at hand.
So. I’d go with orcs.
Or Romans.
