Interesting and exotic movie, wooden horse is brutal but very exciting method. It's interesting, that girl on the horse died or only was out?
(the lingchi comes at the very end, 1:30, but there's lots of rough stuff before that)
I think as it happens at the end, she's probably dead, but I've not tried to get my head round the plot -
there are several reviews and plot-summaries online, this one gives a good taste of the kind of film it is:
A Chinese TORTURE CHAMBER STORY isn't a great film by any stretch, but it sure has some fun stuff going on... Long and short: a woman goes to work for a rich guy, the rich guy's wife gets jealous that her man is constantly eye-ballin' the hired help, and the wife decides to murder the servants husband and pin it on her husband and the servant-girl. The servant-girl's husband is known around town for having a big donkey-cock, and decides to slip an aphrodisiac in this poor cats medicine, causing his penis to explode (believe me, I couldn't make this sh!!t up if I tried...). Anyway, all goes according to plan until some of the other hired help rat the rich-guy's wife and her lover out.
The torture scenes are relatively tame if your used to this sort of thing, and the sex scenes aren't explicit compared to porn - but there are some truly funny and original things going on in A Chinese TORTURE CHAMBER STORY. The aerial-acrobatic-kung-fu-sex-submission and the invisible-stalker-man-in-the-middle-blow-job scenes were worth the price of admission on this one (not to mention the exploding-penis-hand-job...). The whole film is handled pretty tongue-in-cheek, so the f'ed up subject matter is a little easier to "swallow"...Definitely worth a look -
There was a follow-up, Torture Chamber Story 2, which features a woman suffering ling chi (death by a thousand cuts)

Yes, if Wan Feng agrees to translate, I think cryingformay is much more suitable than me. Because he has a solid language foundation and a better language environment, so the translated text should be more accurate than others.Thank you ! The sophistication of Chinese civilization was immense.
In 1954, Joseph Needham initiated and edited the series “Science and Civilisation in China” documenting the science, technology and civilisation of ancient China, so far 27 encyclopedic volumes containing a vast amount of material about China’s contribution to global knowledge.
However, even in this massive scholarship work, Needham and his collaborators missed China’s invention of the sybian – see around the 38’40” of this movie.
Unfortunately, a search of Alibaba failed to yield any bronze heated sybian for sale, nor did a Google search.
I guess I will need to draw the plans for the manufacture of this wonder and commission a mechanical workshop to fabricate one.
