Cersei has messed up badly. Thanks to her intrigues, a religious cult has taken over the city, hunting down and arresting everyone who does not obey their strict rules and morals. Cersei wants to use them to get rid of her political enemies but ends up in prison herself for the various sins she has committed (like sleeping with family members).
Her only way of redemption is to make the 'Walk of Shame'. After being reluctant first, she agrees. The nuns from the prison strip her, wash her and cut off her hair.
She probably thinks that this is bad enough already, but they haven't even started with her yet.

Her gown is returned to Cersei for the moment. She is led outside where the mob already greedily awaits her. Her past actions have not really been to the advantage of the citizens, so she cannot expect them to be mercyful.
Cersei's walk starts. Nothing too bad happens at first.
But then things turn nasty. The people start throwing trash and other objects at her, causing several injuries.
The walk is a demanding experience for Cersei, both physically and emotionally. She is a broken person when she finally arrives at home.
This scene was not shot by Heady herself but by her body double Van Cleave. Heady was pregnant at the time of filming and so it is very understandable that she did not shoot the walk herself. Her head was later added with CGI.

A British-Italian production of 1973"ONE RUSSIAN SUMMER" (original title "I giorni del furore" aka "Days of fury") features Oliver Reed, Claudia Cardinale, Carole André, Antonio
Calenda as the main characters. Based on a novel by Lermontov of 1834 it is an account of ruthless power and limitless abuses exercised
by the head of an aristocratiic family on his dependents and servants in pre-revolutionary Russia. Decline and fall of the family are inevitable
and come from the most obedient of their servant who secretly plots against them. In one scene a female servant is tied up, arms over head, and
is administered some lashes in public on allegation that she had stolen a piece of silverware. Actually she is not guilty of any theft but only the victim of the plans of the rebel servant who had furtively put the piece of silverware in her pocket to provoke her punishment and
mounting of the dependents' and servants' rage against the landlord. The whipping scene ranks among the best ones in cinema:
the tense atmosphere, the sound of the whip, the moans of pain of the actress,very adherent to reality, concur to this.
If I correctly remember some scenes were shot in exterior in Bulgarian landscapes standing for the Russian steppes. Presumably
Cinecittà (Rome) Studios were used for interiors.

They don't practice crucifixion in Westeros.

"DAY OF WRATH" (2006): Christopher Lambert,Blanca Marsillach, Brian Blessed. It is an Hungarian production set in Spain of 1542. In times of Inquisition the appointed sheriff of a Spanish province is confronted with mysterious murders of local noble men. He faces the Authorities' (both the head of the Inquisition and the Governor) attitude to keep everything under silence, but he decides to carry on with his investigations making accurately hidden secret conspiracies and corruptions emerge. As a consequence, the lives of his family and his own are at stake. Blood baths conclude the events without disregading a couple of female torture scenes, nudities (not many to be honest) and violence. The film, to my knowledge (at least here in Italy), had no theatrical passage and was directly released in DVD for sale or rental. About this film reviewers find themselves in conflict: though appreciative of its technical qualities and acting, they negatively see sudden cuts of scenes making it difficult, from time to time, to connect the events.All reviews, nonetheless, define it as intriguing.

Maika Monroe tied to a wheelchair in "It Follows," in which she's being pursued by a relentless, homicidal spirit.

What a way to die.
I had the BluRay laying around for some time now, but only watched it yesterday. Jay (Monroe) being tied to the wheelchair is definately the highlight of the movie. But regarding the plot, the scene is pointless and its only purpose is exploitation (and cheap exposition).
We later see Jay sucessfully passing on the curse to two other characters by sleeping with them. This is apparently sufficient and the whole "tie them up and expose them to the creepy ghost" thing is not necessary.
Although I remember the movie having received quite some hype when it came out, I think it could not live up to it. After the basic rules of the curse are established, the plot makes absolutely no progress. It also fails to provide any origin of the curse. At least the constant creepy ghost slowly walking towards/past the protagonists is something and Monroe's acting is pretty decent.

"THE IMAGE" (aka "THE PUNISHMENT OF ANNE") is a 1975 movie by the well known american director Radley Metzger specialized in 'porn-chic' genre in the seventies. Years ago I was intrigued by the poster of the film and I hired a video cassette in due course to see it. The events described consist in a sophisticated sex game played by two women involving a man in a trio's affair. Between the man and one of the women a sexual relation exists based on S/M but a second woman (Anne) joins in, in the role of slave of the first woman, making things turnhotter for the trio. A rather long torture and whipping scene is impressed in those who have seen the film at approximately 1h. 11m. runtime.
This is decidedly a movie of high quality for direction, photography and acting and absolutely one of the best titles of Metzger's cinematography.

Close up reaction shots, the bane of my existence, lol. I wish the camera had spent more time on the extraordinarily attractive lady being whipped, and show her in full frame, and less time on the reaction shots of the dude and the other woman.
But that's mainstream cinema for ya. Gotta love it. How many times, for instance, have you watched a scene in which a lady starts to undress, only to have the camera cut to a close up reaction shot of the dude eyeing her? I want to yell at the director, like, "Dude, I don't give a fuck what this guy looks like! If I want to see a pervert, I'll look in the mirror! Show me the naked lady!" lol.
Please don't take this as criticism of your post, Hammers. I don't mean it that way at all. I love your posts.

The film was inspired by and is a homage to Italian cannibal films of the late 1970s and early '80s "cannibal boom", particularly Cannibal Holocaust (1980), which features a film-within-a-film titled The Green Inferno. The film follows a group of activists who are forced to fight for survival when they are captured by a cannibalistic tribe.
Lorenza Izzo plays Justine, who is one of the logging protesters captured by the cannibal tribe. She appears comically terrorized as she's brought to the cannibal village (before she even knows they're cannibals.) She and the a couple of other captured women are checked for, I guess, chastity(?) by a witch woman of the tribe. Justine is the only virgin of the three, as evidenced by the blood on the witch's claw. She is, apparently on the basis of this, the only one to be invited to a formal dinner, and is dressed appropriately.
