Apostate posted Nicolas Poussin's 'Et In Arcadia Ego' in his thread, 'The Agony Component', with a request for a crux manip using the painting as a background - http://www.cruxforums.com/xf/threads/the-agony-component.1436/post-407418

But the tomb suggested a resurrection theme. ;)

I used a mixture of film grain and noise filters on Alice to replicate the style of the painted figures, so that she would blend into the scene convincingly. Further colour adjustments and subtle applications of dodge and burn produced a lighting effect consistent with the original figures.

I have used the title, 'Et In Arcadia Est Alicia', but readers may feel free to correct my Latin. :D

That's nice work, Bob! It has an amusing quality as well, given Alice's expression - she seems to know something that the other serious figures haven't worked out yet (but they're extremely engaged in their task). :D

Great image!

Very nice work, Bob.
This painting is central to the conspiracy theories that surround Rennes le Chateau

There's piles of this stuff out there. Now you've added a further complication!
I vote we capture Alice, crucify her and gain what knowledge she has of the Secret.

Oh, yes - I forgot about that connection!
I wonder what my picture implies now...
Well, at any rate, she seems to have mastered the empty tomb trick. :D

You won't be surprised to hear that I just love this image, Bob!

The thought of Alice in Arcadia (sniff) just gets to me....

(Pause while Wragg blows nose  )

But as Jollyrei and Phlebas have said, brilliantly done!

I thought I should get going on a picture again. I call this one "Transition 1" - it's as pretentious a name as I could come up with on short notice.

The juxtaposition of colors is effective. I find my attention shifting from one background to the other, but always with respect to the tortured figure bound naked to the cross.

:popcorn:Intriguing piece of art.
