Pubic Hair

Go to CruxDreams.com
I remember Playboy in the 70's, when women still had pubic hair and the labia were censored out so everything was equally dark. It took a whiole to discover where a vagina entrance was actually situated. This of course had a reaction later on, where labia had to be shown in intimate detail and pubic hair just got in the way. So I blame porn.
Yes, I don't think I'm alone in thinking genitalia - male or female, or of other animals for that matter - are moderately interesting but not aesthetically pleasing. I suppose it's like with flowers, the bright and beautiful petals attract the bee, but the style and stamens are the bits that do the business. And pubic hair, to me, is similarly neutral, I don't find it especially attractive or unattractive, on men or women.

The 'love triangle' shows the way - not for the eyes, but for other senses. :)

I think the discussion in this thread supports that. I was responding to dfg42's nice idea, but I think (as a woman who doesn't bother to shave except outwith the bikini line, unless it's to
thank you. I guess there are at least 4 identified factors

i) fashion
ii) common taste
iii) practicability
iv) hygiene

I know some asian girls, which prudish life style which were to my surprise completely shaved, I call it Pamela Anderson style and I guess that it has to do with the feeling being clean, when having no hair. That was also my reason with beginning to shave. The point iii) has not to be underestimated, since electric shaver naturally enables the porno style compared to the hairy hippies in 1968. ii) is also connected to the argument that pubic hair is a sign of adulthood and should therefor be kept in place. I know at least one female, older for sure which is not shaved but manages every time I see her and her husband at my swimming place to position herself so that I can see her pussy lips. So one may argue that v) could be a sign of honesty not to hide the genitals and therefor to shave. I remember a statement of Playboy that natural blondes were not considered as models, since the genitals were visible. So not to discriminate blondes, one has to....

For decades I've read that the earliest depiction of female pubic hair in Western Art is Goys's Nude Maja, painted c. 1800.

It ain’t.

Today I spent more time than than was necessary or wise trying to find discussion or commentary about the neatly trimmed bush in François Boucher's anatomically correct Leda and the Swam, painted c. 1740,

and failed.

i wondered, the very early depictions didn't show any body hair, so it is not clear if there were pubic hairs or not, and naturaly the greek micrfopenis in the case of males. In some sense i favour the 2000's porn style no pubic hair and big penis, while the other group has the 1970 or earlier pubic hair style prefered.

When I look at Masolino's Adam and Eve we note, that the lips are depicted, so indicating that Eve was shaved in the paradiese. i wondered how she did do that, but i learned that probably each hair was removed singly. Having an infinity of time, that might be the case:

I think pubic hair only came as a result of the Fall, as a sort of permanent fig-leaf, rather more effective on her than him.

Indeed has the appearence of Adam and Eve changed due to the fall (in our believe suposing), they became mortal and they had to suffer from birth and due to hard labour. One could imagine, that the pubic hair is an effect of that. Also because before puberty one has no hair it is a good suggestion and that is one of the reason some males, prefer unshaved females, so they are considered as real (old enough) female. For me, as naturist, I often see older females (70+) being not shaved and younger and asian females being shaved.

It really only could happen if there were a substantial surplus of women too hairy to attract males so get left on the shelf - or a social order in which attractive, i.e. less hairy, females are impregnated by lots of men while the hairies are rejected. Scenario for a CF sci-fi story, maybe?
But who really wants that? Seriously, some of these "bare pussy" purists would give up sex if women all stopped shaving? I don't think so. ;)

Of course Star Trek envisions a utopian, interstellar civilization in which females of all species shave equally. ;)

Jolene Blalock's breasts are bigger.

So are Linda Park's

Jeri Ryan's breast are ample, but nearly that much (why is it that every faker wants to take her large breasts and make them ginormous?)

Alice Eve - Carol Marcus, Star Trek: Into Darkness - has a nice pair but not quite so large.

The fake Sonequa Martin-Green seems about right.

Don't know who the green girl is. The pilot for Star Trek: Discovery left a bad taste and I haven't seen an more.

It's a dystopian nightmare! Where is the hair that guards and marks the place of miracles, the place of wonder? No no no we can't have this, we need hair!

There ain't no words
For the beauty, the splendor, the wonder
Of my...

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

Jolene Blalock's breasts are bigger.

T'Pol had lovely breasts, and she and Hoshi were not shy to get them out barely covered in that perv "decontamination" chamber.
The less said about Michael Burnham and Discovery the better. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't Star Trek

Klingons get it right, and some others
