I always felt bad for the Apollo astronaut that stay in orbit in the command module.
Some of the CMP's were promised a commander seat during a later mission. Collins was offered Apollo 17, but he declined. Dick Gordon, CMP on Apollo 12, would command Apollo 18. Tickets became scarce, however, when three planned missions (Apollo 18, 19 and 20) were canceled.

And so, Beltane is upon us once more. Summer is on its way (finally), and we have a great excuse (as if one were ever needed) to indulge in the passions of the flesh :p

The Goddess and the Green Man are fertile so let the debauchery begin (when does it ever stop in here?) :p

And to celebrate (since Praefectus Praetorio has beaten me to the punch in posting a link to one of the most awesome Beltane tracks ever recorded), here we have Aussie pagan band Spiral Dance with their equally appropriate "Weaving The Summer" - enjoy...

But since there's no video for that one, here I present you with "Beltane" by An Danzza;

Happy Beltane to everybody on Cruxforums

Blessed Be...

Then of course there’s the Rule 34 logical progression.

May be the force in you. Or it prepares if Han Solo or Chewbacca also comes by, since R2D2 means Are 2 Destroying the Twat? But naturally the orgies of obi wan and his tusken raiders are missed by the star porn pictures.

Here Obi-Wan Kenobi prepares for the next meeting with the tusken RAIDERS

On May 5th, 1821, today 200 years ago, Napoleon Bonaparte died, on the island of Saint Helena, where he had been banned to, after his defeat at Waterloo (1815). The most likely cause (despite conspiracy theories) was a natural one, stomach cancer (Napoleon seems to have suffered longtime from stomach pain, and it is said, he suffered of it during the battle of Waterloo, blurring his tactical judgement).

Since 1840, Napoleon's remains rest in the Dôme des Invalides in Paris, but his original grave still exists on Saint Helena.
